Scope and Contents Retour of Process of Apprising by which James Campbell of Brintwod and Mongo Campbel of Little Lowdounhill, sheriffs-depute of Aire [Ayr], narrate that in the sheriff court of Ayr, held in the tolbooth there, on 13th November 1551, William Dalrimpill of Laucht personally present, upon his own confession was decerned to pay to James Chalmer of Gaitgirth 600 merks Scots money owing by him to the said James, in virtue of a contract between them as narrated in the 'rolment' of the said court...
